While designing this nursery, my first thought was to create a tranquil sanctuary for my baby to sleep soundly in a sea-inspired spaces washed in the colors of the ocean.  While nautically inspired, this beach boho nursery is anything but sailboats and anchors.  This nursery incorporates all the accoutrements of the high seas- drift wood, subtle wave wallpaper, beach print gallery wall while the modern bedding gives the room a fun, quirky vibe.  Custom indigo style pillows add a touch of low-key luxury.  To create the soft and calming aesthetic, I chose crisp whites, blues and greys adding more than a hint of organic materials such as woven baskets, custom pallet board wall art, and of course the ficus fiddle leaf fig tree.   One of my favorite pieces to tie the room together is the ombre dip-dyed rope pendant light- it has frayed ends for a more casual feel with a distinctive tiered design.  To add a slight pop of color, I chose a bright yellow planter stand to represent the sunny days of SoCal.   Lastly, a piece so dear to me is the fanciful artwork hand drawn and personalized by a close friend of mine that I get to look at every time I go in and out of the room.
