This nursery was so fun to design! It was a great way to welcome and celebrate my new niece. One of the things that was so special about creating this space was the family help and support-- from multiple generations! Four generations were involved in this nursery (if you include little Ivy using it :)), from painting to sewing to making the felt flower garland, it was so fun to work on installing the room with family. This nursery had some challenges in that it is a very small space and our budget was limited. I feel like we were able to successfully address both and ended up spending only around $1000! Thank you so much to Oilo and the other sponsors for their generosity and allowing us to really stretch that budget! I wanted a successful mix of classic and meaningful pieces (like the heirloom china) and some fun modern elements (like the bright floral tapestry). Since the room is small, I used pretty finishes and interesting textures, but tried to keep things simple. It's hard for me to pick a favorite part of the room!...but if I had to pick, I LOVE the curtains and trim and the dresser hardware- little details like that make the space! Thank you again for the opportunity- it's been a great experience!
