DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: A Sweet Nashville Nursery

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT: A Sweet Nashville Nursery

Today we are taking a peek inside Womanista Founder Cassie Kelley's sweet Nashivlle Nursery. The soft textural elements combined with light and airy creams and blues give a relaxing feel that makes you just want to cuddle up and take a nap right along with baby!

Designer Lindsey Rhodes gives some great advice when planning your nursery design. "The thing about kids is they are constantly growing and evolving in their needs and who they are. I think when you find out you're pregnant, you automatically think 'baby'.  But the 'baby' phase is over in the blink of an eye, so it's important to plan ahead to an extent. A changing table is a waste of space in my opinion. Instead, use a dresser and buy a $25 changing pad that you can take on and off. The dresser we used in the nursery has very user friendly drawers that all are below 36" for easy access to little boy learning to dress himself.  We also have some empty baskets ready for more toys and clutter that will most certainly come!"

We always love a room both mom and baby can enjoy for years to come! Keep reading to see all the cozy corners of the space captured by the amazing Alyssa Rosenheck, and find out where you can get the pieces for your own design!
