From the moment I told my best friend that I was pregnant we immediately started pinning and devising a plan of where the shower would take place and more importantly what it would look like! As we began planning we quickly determined what we felt was most important aspects for creating the perfect shower for a mommy to be!

THE THEME
I knew right away that I would like to have a light, airy whimsical theme for the baby shower, with lots of whites and pastels. We decided to go with white, levels of blue, mint, gold and pale pinks as a pop color for accidents. From the invitations to the décor we are trying to achieve a bright whimsical ambiance. Since we are having the shower at our home, we decided on tables outside with white chairs and linens. For the centerpieces we will have personalized candles with pale pink floral arrangements.

FOOD
For me, outside of theme and décor, the food, drinks and the dessert table are at the top of my list! Since becoming pregnant I have been all about food variety, we will be serving mini hamburgers, pork sliders, and mini tacos as the main entrées; kale salad with fresh fruits and veggies as appetizers and side dishes. I have also been increasingly thirsty throughout my pregnancy so fun fresh thirst quenching drinks are a must! Last but certainly not least the dessert table will be full of macaroons, cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats!
